Behind Flavor File

Hi, I’m Mia Oku!

Mia Oku, creator of Mia’s Flavor File

Mia’s Flavor File began as a way for me to collect the meals my husband and I love, so I could easily return to them whenever I needed inspiration or forgot what I did the first time. Let’s be honest, sometimes a meal comes out amazing, and then you can’t remember a single thing you added!

Now, I’m excited to share those recipes and ideas with you. Whether you are brand new to cooking and need beginner-friendly guidance, or you are an experienced cook looking for fresh inspiration, welcome to my page.

Mia’s Flavor File will continue to grow as my husband and I try new meals, discover new flavors, and create memories in our home. Have an idea, a suggestion, or simply want to chat? Feel free to send me a message.

I’m so excited for the food journey we’ll be taking together. And remember, the secret ingredients are always love and Adobo 😉

What you need

  • 1¼ cups tequila blanco
  • ½ cup triple sec
  • 1¼ cups passion fruit juice or nectar
  • ½ cup pineapple juice
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • ¼ cup light agave
  • Extra agave, optional
  • Extra passion fruit juice or pineapple juice, optional
  • Ice, for shaking and serving

Cooking timeline

  1. 0:00
    Combine

Pour the tequila, triple sec, passion fruit juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, and agave into a pitcher.

  2. 0:02
    Mix

Stir well until everything is completely combined.

  3. 0:04
    Taste

Taste the cocktail before adding ice. Add 1 tablespoon more agave if you want it sweeter. Add a little more passion fruit or pineapple juice if you want the tequila flavor softer.

  4. 0:06
    Shake

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add enough of the prepared cocktail for 1 to 2 drinks.

  5. 0:07
    Chill

Shake for about 15 seconds until very cold.

  6. 0:08
    Serve

Fill glasses with fresh ice and strain the chilled cocktail over the ice.

  7. 0:10
    Repeat

Continue shaking and serving the remaining cocktail in batches.

Trust Me on This: Mix the full batch in a pitcher first, then shake each serving with ice. This keeps the measurements consistent while still giving every glass that cold, freshly shaken texture.
