Behind Flavor File
Hi, I’m Mia Oku!

Mia’s Flavor File began as a way for me to collect the meals my husband and I love, so I could easily return to them whenever I needed inspiration or forgot what I did the first time. Let’s be honest, sometimes a meal comes out amazing, and then you can’t remember a single thing you added!
Now, I’m excited to share those recipes and ideas with you. Whether you are brand new to cooking and need beginner-friendly guidance, or you are an experienced cook looking for fresh inspiration, welcome to my page.
Mia’s Flavor File will continue to grow as my husband and I try new meals, discover new flavors, and create memories in our home. Have an idea, a suggestion, or simply want to chat? Feel free to send me a message.
I’m so excited for the food journey we’ll be taking together. And remember, the secret ingredients are always love and Adobo 😉

What you need
- 1 bag frozen cauliflower rice
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ packet Goya Sazón
- ½ tsp Goya Adobo
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic paste or garlic powder
- ¼ tsp chicken bouillon
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Cooking timeline
- 0:00Heat the pan
Heat a large skillet over medium-high and melt the butter.
- 0:02Add frozen rice
Add the frozen cauliflower rice directly to the pan without thawing.
- 0:03Season
Add Sazón, Adobo, onion powder, garlic, chicken bouillon, and black pepper. Stir well.
- 0:05Cook uncovered
Cook for 7–10 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes, until the water evaporates.
- 0:13Brown
Let the cauliflower sit untouched for 1–2 minutes so it gets lightly browned instead of wet and sad. Taste before adding more Adobo or bouillon because both are salty.
Trust Me on This: Frozen goes straight into the pan. The final untouched minute is what changes it from watery cauliflower to an actual side dish.
