Behind Flavor File
Hi, I’m Mia Oku!

Mia’s Flavor File began as a way for me to collect the meals my husband and I love, so I could easily return to them whenever I needed inspiration or forgot what I did the first time. Let’s be honest, sometimes a meal comes out amazing, and then you can’t remember a single thing you added!
Now, I’m excited to share those recipes and ideas with you. Whether you are brand new to cooking and need beginner-friendly guidance, or you are an experienced cook looking for fresh inspiration, welcome to my page.
Mia’s Flavor File will continue to grow as my husband and I try new meals, discover new flavors, and create memories in our home. Have an idea, a suggestion, or simply want to chat? Feel free to send me a message.
I’m so excited for the food journey we’ll be taking together. And remember, the secret ingredients are always love and Adobo 😉

- 1½ tsp Goya Adobo
- 1½ tsp Goya Perfect Seasoning
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1½ tsp paprika
- 1 packet Goya Sazón with Coriander and Annatto
- 1 tsp garlic powder

- ½ tsp black pepper

Cooking timeline
- 0:00Season + cover
Season the ribs with Adobo, Goya Perfect Seasoning, turmeric, paprika, Sazón, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne. Place in a baking dish and cover tightly.
- 0:05Bake
Bake covered at 350°F for 2 hours.
- 2:05Optional sauce
Leave the ribs unsauced, or brush them with Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Chipotle or any sauce you like. If using sauce, return them to the oven uncovered for 5 minutes.
- 2:10Optional broil
If you used sauce, broil for 1–2 minutes for stickier, caramelized edges. Watch closely so it does not burn.
Trust Me on This: Bone-in ribs are best because the bones help the meat stay flavorful and juicy while it cooks. Keep them covered tightly for the full two hours.
